Partnerships

The North American Students of Cooperation (NASCO) Family [of associations] organizes and educates affordable group equity co-ops and their members for the purpose of promoting a community oriented cooperative movement. This organization provides resources for living cooperatives, including funding, planning resources, and consultation services.

The Fellowship for Intentional Community (FIC) nurtures connections and cooperation among communitarians and their friends. FIC is a 501(c)(3) Non Profit that provides publications, referrals, support services, and sharing opportunities for a wide range of intentional communities, cohousing groups, ecovillages, community networks, support organizations, and people seeking a home in community.

oThe South Superior Climbing Club is the student climbing organization at Northern Michigan University. The Co-op works with the climbing club to coordinate group events and provide educational experiences to local climbers. The Climbers' Co-op also stores climbing club gear for member use.

MQT Growth is a community gardening initiative located in Marquette, MI. The project exists in order to help educate the greater Marquette community on food systems, to disseminate information on growing food, to facilitate lectures and workshops, and to offer cooking classes to a broad range of ages and abilities. The Climbers' Co-op members often work with MQT Growth and receive important training from them. The Co-op offers garden space to MQT Growth in the yard for community gardening.
