Borrowing Gear
The Climbers’ Co-Op offers various forms of outdoor gear for community members and residents to loan. If someone wants to borrow personal gear, they should first ask the gear owner and then sign the gear out in the “gear sign-out” binder near the gear storage room door. If someone wants to borrow Co-op or climbing club gear, they should simply sign out the gear on the check out sheet. No weight-bearing gear (harnesses, ropes, webbing, carabiners, etc.) may be borrowed without the supervision of a co-op resident or climbing club member. Gear return is expected with 48 hours of checkout. Gear should not be borrowed for more than one week without pre-approval by co-op members.
Equipment Storage
The gear storage room is a communal space for personal and shared gear. This space is available for all outdoor gear with the exception of bicycles, which should be kept outside the house. All personal gear in the gear room should be labeled with the owner’s name and phone number and communal gear should be labeled “Climbers’ Co-op”. Fragile items or expensive items should not be kept in the gear storage room.
