Brandon Caltrider - MCC President / Co-Maintenance Brando hails from South Lyon downstate, but he's been haunting the woods of Marquette for a few years now since coming to NMU to study. He's been the captain of the ship since May of 2020, steering us through the storms and squalls of a singular year. You'll often find him hiking and running along the trails surrounding Marquette, identifying various trees and fungi as he goes, or hanging off some formidable spire of rock. |
Phoebe LaTulip - Vice President / Co-Grounds Phoebe has been here since May, filling the house with plants, baked goods, and her trademark warmth and kindness. She's passionate about suicide awareness and mental health, as well as investing time into making things grow, namely the plants that she'll be tending to in our garden come spring. She loves to spend time in the great outdoors, whether it's a hike along the Point at Wetmore or days ripping up the mountain on her snowboard. |
Alex Kahn - Secretary / Co-Maintenance If you were to ask Alex where she's from, there's no telling what answer you'd get. Michigan, California, Alabama, and Bahrain are all possible responses, because she's been just about everywhere. She graduated from Michigan State with a degree in Environmental Science and this past summer pursued her passion for the outdoors guiding kayaking tours on Mama Superior. Though she may look small, she lives big, and is brimming with passion that she pours into the people around her and the world at large. |
Lexi Pettengill - Treasurer / Co-Grounds Lexi comes from across the water in Traverse City, but she's hopped around quite a bit before landing in Marquette to get a degree in social work. She currently works for the Habitat for Humanity, helping to advocate for and protect women, and she'll soon be headed off for grad school to continue her studies. Unbeknownst to many, Lexi also possesses a host of other skills like her knowledge of farming, prowess as a barista, and the ability to wield her Hattori Hanzo shears to cut hair. Fischer Genau - Community Outreach / Accountant Fischer, after a spending a year rambling across the country in a van, longed to be back among the lush forests and vast lakes of Michigan, and now relishes being able to see a sliver of Lake Superior from his bedroom window. His pursuits include, but aren't limited to videography, photography, reading, writing, and harbors a blossoming love for the NYT Sunday crossword puzzle, and he's tried his hand at climbing, surfing, and white water rafting (but he isn't much good at any of them). He also loves Taco Bell and peanut to a concerning degree |
