- The Bouldering Cave is open for community use daily from 10am-10pm. You can just come in the house, no need to knock or email first. Please park on the street and be respectful while in the Co-op. Ask a house member if you have any questions!
- All participants must sign a waiver before using the Bouldering Cave (located in the file box labeled "waivers" in the Meditation/Piano Room on the bench above the climbing shoes, or electronically through Jotform below).
- Climbing alone is strongly discouraged.
- Climbing is inherently dangerous
- Climb at your own risk.
- Be aware of other climbers' fall zone: don't walk beneath climbers when they are climbing.
- Everyone falls, be prepared to fall & learn how to fall safely.
- Do not brace fall with locked arms or legs except to protect head and neck
- Spotting
- Do not expect a spot.
- Ask for a spot if needed.
- Spotters should actively watch the climber.
- Do not catch falling climbers.
- Break the climber’s fall and guide climber with your hands as they fall.
- Spot at your own risk
- Route Setting
- Please ask permission before setting a route
- Receive proper instruction from house members before setting a route
- Use the posted taping standards
- Spinners
- Attempt to tighten the hold with an allen wrench (located with the taping supplies in the Meditation Room)
- If the hold is a true spinner (Stripped T-nut)...
- Tape over the hold with an “X”
- Notify a house member immediately
- No Food or Drinks allowed in the Bouldering Cave
- Wear clean shoes in the Cave
